Minister of Education Madalitso Wirima Kambauwa has warned Form 4 students not to destroy school property or face the wrath of the law.
Speaking after inspecting administration of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) Examination at Luntha Community Secondary school in Zomba, Kambauwa said most of the times Form 4 student like to vandalise school properties when they are done with exams knowing they wouldn’t be punished.
The Minister however said her ministry will not tolerate such a behavior this time around and those found destroying school property will be dealt with decisively.
On administration of the 2023 MSCE examinations, Kambauwa said so far so good and prayed the situation continues.
“I came here to see how examinations have started, so far, there are no serious challenges compared to previous years.
“I salute the security agencies that are playing a big role in making sure there is total security in all exam centers, “she said.
She therefore appealed to invigilators to play their roles by being available during exam time and provide the necessary support to students.
The minster inspected five schools in Zomba among them, Nankhunda, Namadidi and Zomba Catholic Secondary schools.
