Former Nyasa Big Bullet Football Club defender Kumbukani Banya Lungu has been found dead at a certain hospital in South Africa.

Banya Lungu went missing on July 10, 2023 and his body has been recognized by Grant Lungu who also once played for Nyasa Big Bullets.

According to reports, Banya Lungu is believed to have been killed by unknown thugs.

His elder brother, Mabvuto Lungu, has confirmed but said full details, including burial arrangements, will be known later.

Lungu, who was commonly known as Banya, played for Bullets Youth alongside Peter Mponda.
