Police in Zomba district are keeping in custody a 21 year old man suspected of assaulting to death a 45 year-old-man.
Both suspect and the deceased have been identified as Frank Amos and Bernard Banda , respectively.
It is reported that on July 26, 2023 Banda went to a drinking joint where he had a fight with Amosi over a woman and upon returning home, he complained to his brother about body pains .
After a short while, Banda was found dead in his house with blood oozing from his nose and had some cuts at his head.
The matter was reported to police who rushed to the scene along with a medical Personnel who conducted a postmortem examination which revealed that death was caused due to severe head injury.
Police then launched investigations into the matter, which led to the arrest of Amos.
Amos hails from Namwiyo village, while Banda was from Mkamwa village, both under Traditional Authority Mlumbe in Zomba district.
