The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education has released the 2023 Primary Teacher Certificate of Education (PTCE) Examination Results.
In press statement signed by MANEB Executive Director Dorothy Nampota, out of 5,214 candidates who sat for this examination, 5,170 have passed and this represents 99.16% pass rate.
”2,909 female candidates who sat for this examination,have passed this represents 99.11% pass rate And 2,305 male candidates who sat for this examination,have passed this represents 99.22% pass rate”, reads the statements.
On the other hand,Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates who sat for examination, have not left behind as they have scored 94.12% pass rate as 48 passed among 51 candidates.
Blantyre Teachers Training College, has been selected as the best school as it has contributed 61.63 % followed by Mzimba TTC with 60.23% and on the bottom line there is Machinga TTC with 21.46% pass rate.
However, for a candidate to pass the Primary Teacher Certificate of Education Examination he or she must pass all the seven including Teaching Practice.
