The body of late Eunice Kazembe who was appointed minister of the new ministry, good governance, in the Joyce Banda cabinet that was announced about a fortnight ago arrived this afternoon through Blantyre;s Chileka airport.

Kazembe died on Monday at a South African hospital after a long illness.

His remains were welcomed this afternoon at the airport by Vice President, Khumbo Kachali, as the President was busy elevating a chief in Phalombe.

From the airport, Kazembe’s remains were driven to her home in Chigumula, Blantyre.

The body of late Kazembe, who once served as Minister of education in the DPP regime before jumping the ship to PP, will be laid to rest tomorrow at her home district of Chiradzulu.
