Parliament deliberations have been interrupted this afternoon owing to a technical fault on the public address system in the house.
Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara asked the leader of the house Richard Chimwendo Banda on the way forward who suggested temporary suspension of the deliberations.
Engineers are currently working on rectifying the problem for the deliberations to resume.
Last week similar incident happed and the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) accused the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of staging the suspension to allow its law-makers attend the elections at the party’s headquarters.
But Chimwendo Banda quashed the claims.
