The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has officially expelled one of its senior members, Nicholas Dausi.

A statement signed by the party’s spokesperson Shadric Namalomba, the decision was made based on recommendations from the party’s disciplinary and central executive committee.

However, the statement announcing the expulsion did not provide specific details for the action taken.

Interestingly, just last week, Dausi was seen at a rally hosted by MCP Director of Youth and Minister of Local Government, Richard Chimwendo Banda, in Mwanza central constituency. Despite his presence at the rally, Dausi denied any affiliation with the MCP.
