Police in Lumbadzi have arrested village headman Katsukunya and three brothers of the same family in connection with the fracas that took place at Katsukunya village in the area of Senior Chief Chitukula in Lilongwe.

Public Relations Officer  for Lumbadzi Police, Sergeant Felix Kwinyani, has identified the suspects as Julius Fyson, Maliko Nyamayasauka, Alick Nyamayasauka and Wilson Nyamayasauka who committed the offense on Monday 4 September 2023

The four are being charged with offenses ranging from inciting violence, malicious damage and theft after being involved in a group of villagers from Katsukunya, Nduwa and Msanyama who invaded KU Distributors company demanding the return of their land which was sold in 2009.
They went on destroying infrastructure and stealing properties of people in the process.
Meanwhile, the four will appear in court very soon to answer charges levelled against them.
Julius Fysoni is 42, who is village headman Katsukunya, Maliko Nyamayasauka is 28, Alick Nyamayasauka is 23 and Wilson Nyamayasauka is 22 all of them hails from Nsanyama village under Senior Chief Chitukula in Lilongwe.
