Some students at Mzuzu University have resolved to go on the street, in a bid to force government to suspend the tuition fee hike.

Students argue that the Mzuzu University Students Representative Council (Musrec) and University management have failed to reach an agreement on the matter.

The concerned students wondered during meeting a while ago that why only Mzuzu University has effected tuition fee hike in the middle of an academic year unlike other public universities.

However, Musrec President Lucius Banda [not the musician] said he is not supporting the decision to go on the street, saying they need to follow proper procedures.

The students are now heading to town.
