Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda has reserved a ruling in case where political activist Bon Kalindo is accused of jumping bail.
Kalindo was arrested on Friday for allegedly jumping bail in a case dating back to 2021 where he claimed to have knowledge of people behind killings of persons with albinism but could not mention their names.
When he appeared before the court today, Kalindo asked the court to scrap off the arrest warrant obtained by the police on the matter.
But Magistrate Nyirenda reserved his ruling on the matter to tomorrow. He then asked the law enforcers to continue keeping Kalindo in police cell for jumping bail.
