Goshen City Trust has on Friday announced a K60 million package to promote women’s football in the country.

The unveiling of the sponsorship took place at Goshen Trust Offices in Lilongwe.

Goshen City visionary Shepherd Bushiri said Goshen would like to see women’s football developing in Malawi.

According to Bushiri, women’s football will never be the same in Malawi.

Bushiri has hinted that the package is subject to renewal and further adjustments after each passing year.

Of the package, K10 million will go to national women’s football team players as they prepare for the Cosafa tournament in South Africa.

About K29 million will go towards travel expenses for the Scorchers to the Cosafa tournament in South Africa.

The remaining K21 million will be channeled to Goshen Women’s Football League, which used to be the FAM Women Football League.

FAM President Walter Nyamilandu and Women Football President Adelaide Migogo have hailed Goshen City Trust for the support.

According to Nyamilandu, the investment will not go in vein.
