Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa has denied media reports that he is planning to obtain a court injunction to restrain former President Peter Mutharika from contesting as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President.

Earlier this month, the High Court ordered the opposition DPP to hold an elective conference before December this year.

The development came barely few days after Mutharika expressed interest to contest again as President in the forthcoming 2025 Presidential polls.

Few days later, reports were all over social media reports claiming that Nankhumwa is planning to gag Mutharika.

But in a statement released recently Nankhumwa expressed ignorance on the matter.
