Unknown people have reportedly destroyed and unmounted a beacon which was planted in in the village of Chimbalanga, Traditiona Authority Chiwalo in Phalombe district.

The beacon, which was mounted with unknown people, brought different questions with no answers to the residents and the authorities who wasn’t aware with such development.

The beacon was planted in a certain man’s farm without being convinced and this threatened the residents as others were saying it was a bomb that may explode anytime and harm them all.

Meanwhile, police in the district have visited the place and the investigations are under way to find out who planted it and the intentions behind it.
