Police in Nkhota-kota have arrested a couple for allegedly offering to sell a baby-bump to a well-known businessman in the district.
Nkhotakota Police spokesperson Paul Malimwe has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspects as Frank Malaki, 23 and his Enita Joseph.
According to Malimwe, the couple approached well-known business man saying they are selling the baby-bump at MK200,000.
Malimwe said the couple wanted to use the money to settle a loan from the Village Bank.
The businessman tipped-off the law enforcers hence the arrest.
The two will appear in court soon.
