A 36-year-old woman, Chifundo Matchula,is nursing injuries after a rock that rolled from a hill crashed into their home in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Chifundo and her spouse, Ekison, had constructed their residence on the edge of a hill in the area.
Chileka police spokesperson Jonathan Phillipo has confirmed that Ekison and their two children escaped with minor injuries and are receiving medical attention at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
The police publicist, however, says the shocking event serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers posed by housing placements near steep terrain.
