Workers at United Nations Development Program (UNDP) office in Lilongwe are staging a sit-in with an aim of forcing management to hike their salaries.

The development follows the recent devaluation of the kwacha by the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

The kwacha devaluation has seen a rise in prices of commodities on the market.

The workers are currently waiting for top officials to address them.
