Silver Strikers Reserve has won this year’s Nyasa Capital Finance trophy after defeating Namitete Zitha FC 1-0 in the finals at the Nankhaka stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.

Lasuli Jali scored the only goal of the game in the first half which the “Junior Bankers” managed to defend until the end of the game.

The coach of the Namitete Zitha FC team, Martin Mkamanga said he was satisfied with the way his team played despite the defeat while MacDonald Yobe, The coach of Silver Strikers Reserve praised his boys for their courage because Namitete Zitha FC put them under pressure.

This is the second time that Silver Strikers Reserve has won the Nyasa Capital Finance Cup because they were the first time to win it in 2021 when Namitete Zitha FC is the one who was keeping the cup.

The Silver Strikers Reserve team has received a prize of K1.6 million while Namiteter zitha fc has received K650, 000.
