The government of Malawi through the ministry of Foreign Affairs has established its first ever embassy in Morocco.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nancy Tembo, inaugurated the embassy yesterday in Rabat, Morocco.
In a statement, the office of foreign affairs says the embassy has been inaugurated in the city of Rabat, following a directive by President Lazarus Chakwera as part of promoting diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The Statement also added that the establishment of the embassy in Rabat will help to strengthen the bilateral relationship that is there between Malawi and Morocco.
“The establishment of the Malawi Embassy in Rabat marks an Important milestone in strengthening the cordial diplomatic relations between Malawi and Morocco,” reads Part of the statement.
Morocco opened its first ever embassy in Malawi last year in Lilongwe.
