Budget Director in the Ministry of Finance, Paul Mphwiyo, arrives in Malawi today through the Kamuzu International Airport from South Africa aboard a South African airways plane.
Mphwiyo, who survived an assassination attempt, is believed to have some information to the Cashgate scandal and, apparently, his shooting.
However, a source has disclosed that when Mphwiyo met the Police is South Africa who went there last month, he told them that he did not know those who shot him.
Former justice minister, Ralph Kasambara, is linked to the shooting of Mr. Mphwiyo and is currently in police custody being remanded at the Zomba maximum security prison.
