Nkhunga Police in Nkhotakota is keeping in custody a 32 year old man for suspecting him that he allegedly kill his wife with a stone.
Spokesperson for Nkhunga police station Andrew Kamanga has identified the suspect as Dickson Kachikuni.
According to Kamanga, the suspect committed the offense on 1 January 2024 when he was coming from drinking joint in dawn hours and found his wife Leah Ngoma sleeping.
It is being the reported that the couple had a disagreement over love affairs as they were suspecting one another over cheating.
When Kamanga arrived at the home and found his wife sleeping, he suddenly went out to grab a big stone in bathroom and smashed his wife’ head.
When a woman scream for help, neighbors heard the voice and rushed to the scene where they found pool of blood behind her and her husband was no where to be seen.
Police in conjuction with community police forum managed to catch the suspect at a certain bus deport when he was about to flee.
Andrew Kamanga of Kalulu Village in Nkhotakota will soon appear before court to answer murder charges.
