Malawi Women’s National Football Team captain, Tabitha Chawinga, scored her first goal in 2024 after PSG Feminines thrashed Lille 6-0 in the D1 Arkema, France’s premier league.
The Malawian international started the match on the bench and was on fire after being introduces as she scored a goal in the 55th minute and provided three assists.
Katoto, the star striker, broke the deadlock in the 26th before scoring another goal in the 37th minutes, while Geyoro extended the lead at the 50th minute. Chawinga added her second goal, securing a 5-0 advantage, and Bartimole wrapped up the victory in the 57th minute. Mertens sealed the comprehensive win with a final goal in the 86th minute.
The win means that PSG has moved to second on the 12-team log-table with 25 points from 10 games, eight points behind leaders Lyon, who have played a game more.
Chawinga has scored 6 goals since joining the French side on loan from Wuhan Jiangda.
