Malawi Prison Service headquarters transferred to Lilongwe

Information reaching this publication indicates that the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has transferred the headquarters of Malawi Prison Services from Zomba to the capital Lilongwe.
The transfer comes barely months after the transfer of Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) headquarter from Blantyre to Lilongwe.
Malawi Prison Spokesperson Chimwemwe Shaba has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
According to Shaba, the transfer is with effect from January 8, 2024
