The First Grade Magistrate’s court in Kasungu has found Lameck Banda, aged 30, guilty of defilement and impregnating a girl.
Banda faced charges of defiling and providing alcohol to a 16-year-old girl, following reports from the girl’s parents.
However, according to revelations in court by Chakaka Nyirenda, it was discovered that the girl in question was actually 19 years old, meaning Banda did not commit the offense of defilement.
