Minister of Finance Simplex Chithyola Banda is from 2pm today scheduled to table the 2024/25 National Budget Statement in the August House in Lilongwe.
Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
Following the presentation of the Budget Statement, the House is expected to commence Cluster Committees to further scrutinise the budget.
The Cluster Committees are expected to meet from Monday, 26th February to Friday, 8th March, 2024.
Yesterday, Parliamentary deliberations were suspended following the death of Assistant Clerk of Parliament Responsible for Committees Lawson Chitseko.
