The game is on. The same song is being played. The political parties have started holding primary elections to elect their torchbearers for the Parliamentary seats in 2014. The DPP has already held in some parts and, elsewhere, the drama has started.

Information we have indicates that the Democratic Progressive Party primaries in Nsanje South West have met a court order restraining the winner from representing the party citing other irregularities.

According to the information in our possession, one of the contestants in the race a Dr. Chidati has obtained an injunction against the results which declared that Mrs. Hellen Magombo was the winner.

Days ago, it was alleged by some quarters within the party that one of the organizers for the primaries, Noel Masangwi, had been bribed by the winner and thus, had operated unfairly.

It is on those grounds, probably, that Dr. Chidati has filed his complaints. On the other hand, the incumbent for the area, Vera Chilewani, was away attending her aunt’s funeral while the party went on to conduct the elections.
