Police in Blantyre have arrested a man suspected of selling poisonous alcohol which led to the death of eight people at Manase Township.
According to police spokesperson for South West Region Joseph Sauka, the suspect will appear in court soon to answer charges levelled against him.
Meanwhile, Blantyre District Health Office spokesperson Chrissy Banda has revealed that death toll has risen to eight, three are stable while five have been admitted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
