Geoffrey Kapusa, a renowned television personality, will be raid laid to rest on Thursday at his Mkanda Village in Malosa, Zomba.

His funeral programme indicated that his remains will be collected from Mthunzi Mortuary to Machinjiri in Area 3 the afternoon before.

On Wednesday, a church service will be held at South Lunzu CCAP before his burial in Zomba. Kapusa’s passing was deeply mourned by his family, with his brother Collin describing him as a pillar in their lives.

Vita Chirwa, president of the Musician Union of Malawi, honored Kapusa’s contributions to Malawian music through his popular television program, Music Splash, saying, “Mr Splash will always be remembered for the huge role he played towards promotion and development of Malawian music.”

Golden Matonga, chairperson of Misa Malawi, also acknowledged Kapusa’s significant impact on the media fraternity, stating, “Kapusa’s demise is a blow to the media fraternity, saying he was one of the prominent television broadcasters of his generation.”
