The body of former television star Geoffrey Kapusa has been laid to rest in his home village in the area of Traditional Authority Nkanda in Machinga district.

Speaking at the ceremony, the daughter of the late Kapusa, Eliza, said her father died a happy man.

She thanked individuals and organisations that have been assisting her father during his illness and death.

Kapusa, born in 1971, is survived by three children. He died on Tuesday this week after a long battle with diabetes, according to his brother Collins.

Kapusa rose to stardom during his 20-year stay at MBC TV, then known as Television Malawi. He used to host a popular music programme called ‘Music Splash’, thereby christened as ‘Mr. Splash.’
