Prophet Shepherd Bushiri through Goshen City has provided K10 million as a token of appreciation to the Scorchers for winning the Cosafa Women’s Championship last year.
Bushiri made the announcement today when the team led by Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Freetwood Haiya official presented the COSAFA CUP trophy to him for being an official sponsor.
The prophet also announced monetary injection of K21million to cater for the maiden Goshen City Women’s Championship in the country.
In his speech, Bushiri said his dream is to see the womens game reach greater heights.
On his part Haiya hailed Goshen City Trust for the gesture while pledging to make the game more attractive and competitive in the country.
Haiya however apologized for delaying the 2023 Cosafa Womens Championship trophy presentation to the Goshen City hierarchy who are the sponsors of the Scorchers, a plea which was later accepted by the Prophet.
