Police Nab Woman in Nsanje Over 50kg Cannabis Sativa Possession

Immaculate Nyantawa, aged 35, from Jambo village under Traditional Authority Mbenje in Nsanje, has been arrested by Chiromo police for alleged possession of 50 kilograms of cannabis sativa without a permit.
Nsanje police deputy publicist, Declare Mbukwa, confirmed the arrest made around 11 a.m. this morning.
Police detectives acted on a tip-off and found the illicit drug in Nyantawa’s house at the Bangula Trading Center.
The confiscated cannabis sativa has been sent to Bvumbwe Research Station for analysis.
Mbukwa emphasized the seriousness of the situation and the ongoing investigation into the matter.
