Young women from Kasungu district have been trained on financial literacy, business management and proper savings by Girls on the lead organization through its project ‘empower her”.
Speaking after the training, the organization’s Programs Coordinator, Tapiwa Maulana described the training as one way of encouraging young women to sustain their small scale businesses.
”we were here at Senior Chief Lukwa’s headquarters, in Kasungu supporting young women with various business items. We thought it wise to come and train them on how they can operate and sustain their businesses,” said Maulana.
Meanwhile, One of the beneficiaries, Maria Mkwapata, has hailed the organisation, saying they are economically independent.
She has however called upon some other stakeholders to come and embrace the same.
Kasungu Community Development’s Assistant Officer, Matilda Chatha Chirwa has also commended the organisation.
