Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President, Lazarus Chakwera, is set to storm the Southern region for the first time in 2014 ahead of the May polls.
The President is expected to hit the region from January 8th to the 16th holding whistle stop tours in the region and mass rallies at some points.
Last time Chakwera visited the region he was faced by an almost blackout as there was a blackout in the numbers of people that attended his rallies.
However, now that the elections are too close Chakwera’s fortunes might have changed and for the better.
Some of the places the MCP leader is expected to visit include Nchalo, Bvumbwe and Nyambadwe school ground.
