The newly formed Peoples Development Party (PDP) which is being headed by former leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa will be launched next month in the capital Lilongwe.
PDP Interim Publicity Secretary Rhodes Msonkho has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the party will be launched at Masintha Ground in Lilongwe on June 9, 2024.
Msonkho has also indicated that several high profile individuals from cooperate universe and former political gurus are to be unveiled at the launch rally.
The party is scheduled to hold its elective conference in August this year.
Meanwhile, the party is currently on recruitment drive ahead of the convention.
