Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma has announced her departure at the bureau.

Speaking in an interview with the press Chizuma said she will not seek to renew her contract once it expires this coming Friday.

Chizuma told the press that she is leaving the bureau as a happy person.

According to Chizuma, she has laid a solid ground critical for the war on corruption on different fronts; prevention, prosecution and education; establishment of the Anti-Corruption Source book for primary schools, Whistle blower protection Act and receipt of awards from various international organisations for good work.

She however, bemoaned lack of funding at the bureau.
