Sico Holdings has signed a k6 million continued sponsorship of boxing and other minority sporting disciplines saying they are key in developing sports in the country.
Speaking with the company’s chief executive officer Charles Zimba said this yesterday in Lilongwe after a middleweight title fight between Limbani Masamba and Simeon Tcheta which went in favour of Masamba by winning on points.
Zimba further said that they decided to inject 6 million Kwacha to the fight because of its potential in the development of sports in the country.
Meanwhile, Dawn Boxing promotions managing director Mike Chimaliza has commended the company for sponsoring the bout.
