Magistrate Court in Mulanje has today failed to start hearing a case involving a 13-year-old boy in Mulanje who’s both hands were amputated due to alleged police negligence.

The Court failed because Senior Resident Magistrate Gloria Mwatiwamba, who is presiding over the case has been assigned other duties in Lilongwe.

This is the third adjournment of commencement of the case.

The first adjournment was because the boy, who happens to be the state’s key witness, was still in hospital and the second adjournment was because the State was not ready with its witnesses.
