Former President Peter Mutharika who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President on Friday met Ambassador of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Her Excellency Ingrid Marie Milkesen.

Mutharika confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

According to Mutharika, the discussion of the two centered on the social economic developments including economic stability and the forthcoming elections.

“I had the pleasure of welcoming the Ambassador of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, HE Ingrid Marie Milkesen, at my residence in Blantyre.

“Our conversation delved into the current social economic developments including economic stability and the forthcoming elections. Norway remains a strategic partner in the development of our nation,” said Mutharika.

Mutharika is currently set to contest again in the forthcoming 2025 polls.
