Five people have died at Chiweta in Rumphi District after a minibus they were travelling in plunged into a deep gully due to break failure.

Police spokesperson for Rumphi, Noel Kamchenga, has confirmed the sad development  and said about seven more people have sustained various injuries and are receiving treatment at Rumphi District Hospital.

This happens barely after few hours body of vice president Chilima and nine officials discovered lifeless in Chikangawa Forest following plane clash.
