United Transformation Movement (UTM) governor for the South Steve Mikaya has asked Minister of Homeland Security Ken Zikhale Ng’oma and Minister of Defence Harry Mkandawire not to be part of the organizing committee for the funeral ceremony of late Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.
Mikaya said UTM members have reservations on how the two Ministers handled the tragic plane crash which claimed lives of nine people in Chikangawa Forest.
According to Mikaya, the two were supposed to be on top of things but failed to do so.
Mikaya stressed that UTM has lost trust in the two ministers saying they lack capacity.
He further said if government had put more efforts into the search for the plane, maybe things would have been different.
