Malawi police department has warned the general public to be careful with what they write or publish on social media.
National Police spokesman Peter Kalaya has made the sentiment following the arrest of rights activist Bon Kalindo and Member of Parliament for Rumphi East Kamlepo Kalua who were accused of spreading wrong information on social media related to cybercrime.
Mr. Kalaya said that at the moment, the police are looking closely at some of the things people are writing.
