The Mwanza Magistrate court has convicted and sentenced a 32-year-old to 15 months imprisonment for lying to people that he has anti-HIV drugs.
The convict has been identified as Petros Jasi who was selling drugs called ‘Gomorrah’ which is fake and is widely spread on WhatsApp and Facebook.
Following this, some people are found to have stopped taking ARV drugs when they have already stolen their money.
Jasi was caught at Zalewa when he tried to sale the drug to a person who pretended to be a buyer.
The court has given Jasi 15 months in jail as there is no possibility of him paying the money in the case.
