Police in Chileka, Blantyre, have arrested 31 suspects in relation to various offences.
The suspects were arrested on the night of Tuesday during an intelligence driven operation, according to Chileka Police Station spokesperson Jonathan Phillipo.
“This is one of the strategies that our Officer-in-Charge Goodwin Sambo, who is the assistant commissioner of police, is implementing in reducing crime within our jurisdiction,” says Phillipo in a statement made available to media.
Phillipo says the 31 suspects are in custody pending court appearance.
The alleged offences include robberies, break-ins, and operating during odd hours, among others.
