Man Handed 14 Year Jail Sentence Fo D3filing 9 Year-Old-Girl In Nkhotakota

Nkhunga First Grade Magistrate Court in Nkhotakota has sentenced 24-year-old Innocent Woka to 14 years imprisonment for defiling a 9-year-old girl.
The court heard from State Prosecutor Mickeas Chatsira that the convict defiled the girl child on Saturday.
The convict pleaded guilty to charges levelled against him, pleading for leniency in mitigation, stating that what he did, “was just an error”.
However, First Grade Magistrate Kingsley Buleya agreed with the state on facts that were presented and convicted Woka to 14 years imprisonment.
Innocent Woka hails from Kaswaya village, in the area of Traditional Authority Kafuzira in the district.
