Magistrate Court in Blantyre has convicted and sentenced a 21-year-old man to 6 years in prison for sleeping with a fourteen-year-old (14) girl.
Spokesperson for Soche police station, Aaron Chilala, has confirmed the development and identified the convict as Mwayyiwo Magalasi.
According to Chilala, the man committed the crime on May 4 this year.
On this day, the Magalasi persuaded the girl, who he said he was in a relationship with, to skip school and instead dragged her to his house where he slept with her.
This story was revealed when the girl’s teacher asked her mother about her absence from school and this caused the girl’s mother to press her daughter with questions until he revealed about the story including that he feels pain in his private parts.
Mwaywaiwo Magalasi hails from Malizani Village Traditional Authority Kapeni in Blantyre district.
