The Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) says it has launched an investigation to identify what made the map for Geography Paper 1 not to be enclosed with question papers during the packaging by an external security printer.
In a statement, Maneb Executive Director Dorothy Nampota indicates the matter was dealt with administratively after it was reported and the examination concluded well across the country.
“Similar administrative action will be taken during marking and subsequent processes following guidelines for handling such instances which were duly approved by the Maneb board of directors,” part of the statement reads.
The question was worth 35 marks and the whole paper was to be marked out of 110 marks.
