Over the weekend, the grave of Madalitso Kasimbwe, who was born with albinism, was tampered with in Chinomba Village under Traditional Authority Chikumbu in Mulanje District.
The alleged tampering comes after a failed attempt to disturb the grave in 2018, with the tombstone being fortified with heavy stones and bricks to prevent such incidents.
Kasimbwe, who passed away in 2006 at the age of 25, was buried at his home village after a long illness.
Police spokesperson Innocent Moses has stated that officers are actively investigating the matter and are working to apprehend the suspects involved.
