The United Transformation Movement (UTM) party will hold regional memorial rallies in honor of their late president, Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Felix Njawala, the party’s publicity secretary, announced that the first rally will take place in Mzuzu at Katoto Freedom Park on July 28th, 2024.

After the Mzuzu event, the rallies will continue in Lilongwe before moving on to the eastern and southern regions of Malawi.

Political commentator Wonderful Mkhutche emphasized that these rallies are crucial for reuniting the UTM family following Dr. Chilima’s passing.

Dr. Saulos Chilima, the former UTM president and vice president of Malawi, was a significant figure whose death has left a void in the party.
