A Malawian man based in South Africa has been arrested in Kwazulu Natal on suspicion of mugging and stealing from people.
The man whose home district is Salima, has been attacking people in the street by gun pointing using his gun (9mm pistol).
However, it is reported that, yesterday’s night, the man did the same act and stole his phone.
When these people saw him this morning, 8:51 am, they recognized him and grabbed him, stripped him, and beat him.
When the police came, they found him with three stolen phones, a gun, and pepper spray.
In photos circulated on social media, is showing the man with no clothes after being beaten by the residents.
Meanwhile some Malawians have begged those who live diaspora to not steal from the countries of the minority for fear of humiliating innocent Malawians.
