Chidi Ward Councilor in Zimba district, Abson Sekeleti, has died after suffering a stroke.

Relaying the development in a letter addressed to the Electoral Commission of Zambia, Zimba Town Council Secretary, Christopher Siasinyanga, noted that the Councilor died on 22nd July, 2024.

Sekeleti served in his capacity from 2010 to 2016 and was reelected to the position in 2021 until his demise.

Siasinyanga described the passing of Sekeleti as a significant loss to the residents of Chidi Ward and the broader community, recalling that he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving people’s lives.
