Police in Blantyre is looking for a man identified as Sibweni on the suspicion that he attacked and killed a 15-year-old girl at Manase in the city.
Deputy spokesperson for Blantyre police Mary Chiponda has confirmed the development and said sibweni committed the offence on July 22, 2024.
It is reported that the deceased girl identified Kettie Kaindi was with her sister Judith Ajibu before she left the house to accompany a guest.
She left the late Kettie with Sibweni who often comes to the house to do some work.
“When Ajibu came back, she found the door locked and she asked her neighbors if kettie left the keys to them but they all said not she didn’t.
With the help of other people, Ajibu broke the door and immediately Sibweni got out and ran away.
It is said that this is where they found the body of the deceased with only blood and lifeless.
Police took the body to the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for an autopsy.
